Time Left — a free stop-smoking app

Last updated 22 September 2026

Time Left is not medical advice. It is an information and motivation tool. It cannot diagnose anything, and it cannot tell you what will happen to you.

1. What this app is

Time Left shows you what smoking has cost you so far — in money and in time — and what your body is documented to recover after you stop. It is free, needs no account, and works offline.

2. The numbers are population averages, not a forecast about you

Every figure in the app comes from published research and official statistics, and every one of them describes a population average:

Bodies differ. Genetics, other illnesses, how long you smoked and what else you were exposed to all change the outcome. Nothing in this app predicts your personal future, your health or your date of death. Do not use it as a reason to delay or avoid seeing a doctor.

3. Quitting

Stopping smoking is worthwhile at any age and after any number of years. If you want help, the app lists national quitline numbers for 56 countries, and your doctor or pharmacist can discuss medication and nicotine replacement with you. Those conversations are worth more than this app.

4. Warning images

The pack warning pictures are the official images issued by the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare (5th round). They are graphic. They stay blurred until you choose to reveal them.

5. Your data

Your entries stay in your browser. See the Privacy Policy.

6. Advertising

The app is funded by ads. We do not endorse advertised products, and no advertiser has any influence over the app's content or its figures.

7. No warranty

The app is provided as is. We do our best to keep the figures accurate and sourced, but we do not guarantee that it is error-free or continuously available, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it.
